What a tour! Wonderful, dynamic, energetically charged.
We had great surprise guests, Rough-toothed dolphins (Steno bredanensis), which only occasionally come to visit. It’s something special, something close, something beautiful! We thought we’d had a great encounter with these friendly, trusting dolphins and set off for another sighting. Again, we were surprised because the Rough-toothed dolphins only really got going. They accompanied us rapidly and dynamically almost to the area of the other two marine mammals, Short-finned Pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) and a small group of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), which were also dynamic and energetically charged.
On the way back, we had the stars of today’s tour again, our incredible Rough-toothed dolphins. When a Rough-toothed dolphin turns to the side and looks up with its big, dark eye, this look penetrates deep into the heart. Today this was soul balm, for me for sure and hopefully as well for our guests!
