Island weather changes quickly. Yesterday we tried very hard to make it possible for our guests to go out. But the rain put a spanner in the works. Today the sun was shining brightly. Great conditions for enjoying the sea. Our Ribeira Brava was able to take the guests to see two Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and a group of Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus).
In the afternoon, the weather was again marvellous and the sea had calmed down. The large group of Pilot whales were in high spirits and even swam in the bow wave, which doesn’t happen very often. Three Bottlenose dolphins were in the vicinity. We were also able to observe more Bottlenose dolphins close to shore. All in all, an amazing tour with a great atmosphere on board. Some of our younger guests took over the work of our captain Pedro. Thank you for coming along and for your support.
