In the afternoon, our tour was a little detective game with a test of patience. We discovered a blow, a very tall one. A spout gives an indication of whether it is a Sperm whale or a baleen whale. Straight up, went the spout. The first clue was given. It was a baleen whale. The spout of the Sperm whale goes forward in 45 degrees. What would be the next clues for identification? The size? It was difficult to see from this distance because the whale had no interest in being identified. But on closer inspection of the dorsal fin on the computer, I would assume, due to the shape of the dorsal fin, that it was a Tropical whale (Balaenoptera edeni). However, this assumption is not guaranteed today, because it cannot be said with certainty.
