This morning we had a wonderful encounter with Pilot whales. To observe this beauty out in the waves is really special! In one situation an adult animal came directly in front of Ribeira Brava, turned to his side and made a U-turn. This was heebie-jeebies time for a guest and for me as well. What the reason was? It was a sudden and absolute astonishment about this beautiful situation.
On Faroes-Islands they still slaughter these wonderful Pilot whales in a very brute way. Traditions are their argument. But shouldn’t be the protection of life the most important thing? We are able to make decisions every day! The question is what we choose! Do we want to give something into the world or do we want do take beauty out? However we are responsible for our actions, every day!
