Today, Ribeira Brava had to travel a long way to observe a school of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) near Cabo Girao. This species is native to the coast of Madeira. They move along the coast in search of food. And who knows, if they are not spotted off the south coast, it is quite possible that they are searching for food off the north coast. On the way back, we saw a Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta).
