            (Extra)ordinary

Published by lobosonda on July 24, 2019

A small planet in one, of the many, many, many solar systems in this universe of infinite vastness … this is our home! What had to happen to make this planet full of marvel?! It almost seems as if miraculous powers were at work to let such complexity on a small scale as on a large scale blend perfectly into each other. A system so multifaceted that we can not grasp it in its entirety.

Our planet is of extraordinary beauty and structure, full of color spectacles and scent experiences. On our planet there is such a diverse fauna that the human species had by no means, categorized all the creatures of the animal kingdom, while a very large percentage are threatened with extinction.

We are surrounded by a flora that offers habitats, food and healing power. Trees that exchange impulses like information from an internet. What would it be like to sit in a Forest Internet Cafe and understand what is being communicated? Maybe Man Specie would then really understand and finally change his actions.

The daisy is for many a reminder of children’s days. Small and quite ordinary, some may think. True yet there are more spectacular flowers that catches your eye! But did you know that the Daisy became “Medicinal Plant of the Year 2017”? This simple flower is full of unusual healing powers! The (Bellis perennis) is with her wound healing, anti-inflammatory, astringent, analgesic, pruritic, metabolism-stimulating, slightly laxative, blood-purifying, antiviral, expectorant and expectorant forces used in many areas for relief and healing. Wondering why this little flower is mentioned in our AHOI newsletter? How quickly goes by, what we ordinary and regularly see ?! How easy is the everyday hidden. The example of this little flower makes it clear what a magical power and uniqueness is in everything “ordinary”. Nature invites you to recognize the special … sometimes even at second glance. So the daisy is a small hint, to admire nature with open eyes and open heart, again and again. 😉

Even by Madeira’s coast, the ordinary and the spectacular are waiting for us! Our beautiful island in the Atlantic offers many sea mammals a solid food base for the residents, seasonal and migratory species that we can admire here. Even if there are more dolphin sightings off Madeira’s coast, it is as well possible to watch whales in this part of the ocean. Sometimes there are even real rarities to admire. Paula will take you into the realm of the extraordinary under our heading: Curiosities and Porthole.

But, as with daisies, our “ordinary” species have just as much magic in it. How often we see Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic Spotted dolphins & Co? Who ever experiences with open hearts, will be touched and overcome again and again by these marvels of nature.

With all our technology comes a great responsibility! Regarding the status of our habitats, it becomes clear that too much has been “forgotten” to fulfill this responsibility. Instead of placing destructive values first, our HOME, our PLANET, should be the top priority. The best remedy is to be amazed! Anyone who recognizes our wondrously beautiful world with open eyes and hearts will act wisely. And for those that do not do it already … start with the daily amazement, right now and today. 🙂

OH what a beautiful planet we live in!
