Unser Sp\u00e4her entdeckte bald eine Gruppe von Pottwalen (<i>Physter macrocephalus<\/i>), die au\u00dferhalb von Jardim do Mar jagten, und unsere Crew eilte zum Tatort. Die Pottwale waren jedoch nicht in der Stimmung zu interagieren. Die sanften Riesen ruhten an der Oberfl\u00e4che, ein Zeitvertreib, der neben der Geselligkeit ihre Zeit an der Oberfl\u00e4che dominiert und ein Zustand, in dem sie es vorziehen, nicht gest\u00f6rt zu werden. Wir sahen insgesamt etwa 8 verschiedene Pottwale, bevor wir nach Osten d\u00fcsten, um eine Schule von Streifendelfinen (<i>Stenella coeruleoalba<\/i>) zu treffen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Diese sch\u00f6nen, aber ausweichenden Delfine kommen in der Regel in kleineren Untergruppen von 20-30 Tieren auf Madeira an. Sie sind daf\u00fcr bekannt, dass sie im offenen Ozean in riesigen Gruppen reisen, die aus \u00fcber 500 Tieren bestehen k\u00f6nnen und oft auch andere Arten wie Kurzschnabelige-Gew\u00f6hnliche-Delfine (<i>Delphinus delphis<\/i>) umfassen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">So kam unser Team nach einem wundersch\u00f6nen Nachmittag auf dem Ozean mit Sichtungen eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften sowie einer Sichtung eines der kleineren, aber sch\u00f6nsten Mitglieder der Familie der Zahnwale in Calheta an.
