Wir versuchen die Gew\u00e4sser vor Funchal zu meiden, da dies nicht unser \u00fcbliches Suchgebiet ist und wir wissen, dass die Tiere dort bereits von mehreren Booten beobachtet werden. Heute war Funchal unsere einzige Chance auf eine Sichtung, also nahm unser Schnellboot sofort Kurs auf die Gew\u00e4sser in der N\u00e4he der Hauptstadt, um eine riesige Gruppe von Atlantische Fleckendelfine (<i>Stenella frontalis<\/i>) zu finden, die in Gegenwart ihrer K\u00e4lber schnell nach S\u00fcdosten schwammen. Nat\u00fcrlich waren wir nicht das einzige Boot bei der Sichtung und entschieden uns daher die Sichtung kurz zu halten.Unser Sp\u00e4her fand bald eine weitere Gruppe Delfine, oder besser gesagt, ein Paar! Zwei Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<i>Tursiops truncatus<\/i>) schwammen ebenfalls nach Osten und taten dies so diskret, dass sie von den anderen Booten aus Funchal unentdeckt blieben. Wir trieben einige Zeit parallel zu den Tieren, bevor wir nach Calheta zur\u00fcckkehrten und uns auf unsere Nachmittagstour vorbereiteten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Am Nachmittag musste unsere Ribeira Brava weit und breit nach Delfine suchen, bevor sie in Cabo Gir\u00e3o praktisch \u00fcber eine Gruppe T\u00fcmmler stolperte\u2026und diesmal bestand die Schule aus mindestens einem Dutzend Individuen und (zum Gl\u00fcck) war die Gruppe auf dem Weg nach Westen! Im Gegensatz zu den Delfinen an diesem Vormittag nutzte diese Gruppe die Gelegenheit, um durch die Wellen unseres Bugs zu schwimmen, und brachte alle an Bord zum L\u00e4cheln vor Dankbarkeit. Also beendeten den Tag mit einer fabelhaften Note und genossen eine sch\u00f6ne Tour entlang der K\u00fcste, bevor wir wieder in unsere Marina anlegten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"
