An diesem Morgen war eine mittelgro\u00dfe Gruppe von Atlantischen Fleckendelfinen (<i>Stenella frontalis<\/i>) in den Gew\u00e4ssern au\u00dferhalb von Calheta am jagen, wobei sich nur eine Handvoll dieser normalerweise unglaublich neugierigen Delfine unserem Boot n\u00e4herten. Am Bug sind die Fleckendelfine einzigartig dynamisch! Sie schwimmen energisch durch die Wellen und gleiten zur Seite, und springen um an Geschwindigkeit zu gewinnen. Es ist immer eine Freude, sie vom Deck unseres traditionelles Bootes aus in Action zu sehen!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Unser Sp\u00e4her fand dann eine ruhigere, aber viel gr\u00f6\u00dfere Gruppe etwa zwei Seemeilen weiter vor der K\u00fcste und die N\u00e4he zu unserer ersten Sichtung mit den Fleckendelfinen lie\u00df uns vermuten, dass dies die Schule sein k\u00f6nnte, von der sich die Untergruppe kurz vor unserer Begegnung getrennt hatten. Die Gruppendynamik mag der von Fleckendelfinen \u00e4hnlich gewesen sein, aber in Wirklichkeit waren es Streifendelfine (<i>Stenella coeruleoalba<\/i>), die sch\u00fcchterneren Verwandten unserer Sommerdelfine. Die Tiere bewegten sich in enger Formation und circa ein dutzend Tiere n\u00e4herte sich vorsichtig dem Bug von unserem Boot. Wenn Streifendelfine Bugwellen reiten, gleiten sie meist etwas tiefer am Bug als andere Delfine, und schwimmen seitlich, um zu uns nach oben zu blicken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Unsere Ribeira Brava genoss heute Nachmittag mehr Bugwellen-Action mit Fleckendelfine, ein erfrischendes Spektakel, vor allem bei der heutigen brennenden Nachmittagssonne und den hohen Wellengang. Es ist immer eine Freude, ein paar <i>Stenella<\/i>s am Bug zu haben! Jetzt k\u00f6nnen wir nur hoffen dass unser Schnellboot STENELLA bald vom Trockendock wieder zur\u00fcckkehrt und ihre gleichnamigen Delfine wieder an ihrem Bug begr\u00fc\u00dfen
