Diese charismatischen Delfine werden bald in k\u00fchlere Gew\u00e4sser wandern, wobei im Sommer nur noch eine Handvoll Tiere hier noch verweilen. Die gro\u00dfen Populationen dieser kleinen Delphiniden werden durch eine andere, h\u00e4ufig vorkommende und saisonale Delfinart ersetzt, die Atlantische Fleckendelfine (<em>Stenella frontalis<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die saisonale Verteilung dieser beiden Arten h\u00e4ngt offensichtlich in gewisser Weise mit Temperatur\u00e4nderungen an der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che zusammen. K\u00fcrzlich ver\u00f6ffentlichten Wissenschaftler auf der Insel eine Studie, das die m\u00f6glichen Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Populationen verschiedener Meeress\u00e4uger auf Madeira diskutierte. Seltsamerweise zeigten die Gew\u00f6hnliche-Delfine, die Fleckendelfine und die inselassoziierten Gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) zeigen im Gegensatz zu anderen Arten eine \u00fcberraschend geringe Anf\u00e4lligkeit zum Klimawandel. Gr\u00fcnde hierf\u00fcr sind m\u00f6glicherweise die hohe Variabilit\u00e4t der Residenz der T\u00fcmmler und die geringe Exposition gegen\u00fcber aktuellen Klimaeffekten der saisonalen Delfine aufgrund ihrer st\u00e4ndigen Wanderungen. \u00c4nderungen in der Physik der Ozeane k\u00f6nnten jedoch die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit ihrer Beute in bestimmten Gebieten, einschlie\u00dflich Madeira, beeintr\u00e4chtigen und zu Verschiebungen bei diesen saisonalen Wanderungen f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dieser \u201csaisonaler Schichtwechsel\u201c zwischen diesen beiden Arten ist vorerst jedes Jahr zu erwarten, und obwohl wir immer traurig sind, uns vor\u00fcbergehend von einer Art zu verabschieden, freuen wir uns, die andere wieder zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen.<\/p>\n<p
