Eine seltsame Begegnung wartete dort auf uns. Ein kleiner, sehr kleiner Bartenwal! Viele Richtungswechsel- keine einfache Ausgangspostion f\u00fcr ein gutes Foto, noch schwieriger f\u00fcr eine Identifikation. Zuerst vermuteten wir, dass es sich m\u00f6glicherweise, um ein Seiwal-Kalb handelte. Doch wo blieb das Muttertier? Es gab keinen zweiten Wal. Wir waren besorgt, denn solch ein Kalb ohne Muttertier h\u00e4tte keine \u00dcberlebenschance. Alles an der Situation war seltsam, nicht wie \u00fcblich! Eine Vermutung keimte in mir auf\u2026. deshalb schickte ich die Fotos zu einer befreundeten Minkwal-Expertin und sie best\u00e4tigte, was ich beim n\u00e4heren Betrachten der Fotos angenommen hatte. Aufgrund der Proportionen und Erkennungsmerkmale handelt es sich bei unserer heutigen Sichtung wohl um einen juvenilen oder adulten N\u00f6rdlichen Minkwal (<em>Balaenoptera acutorostrata<\/em>), auch als Zwergwal bekannt. Statt mit Sorgenkind, hatten wir es somit mit eine Besonderheit zu tun. Das freut uns nat\u00fcrlich sehr! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zwergwale sind \u00fcbrigens mit ihren 6,5 bis 9 m einer der kleinsten der Baleenwale. Im Allgemeinen scheinen m\u00e4nnliche Zwergwale weiter nach Norden zu ziehen und sich mehr auf offener See zu bewegen, w\u00e4hrend Frauen K\u00fcstengew\u00e4sser bevorzugen und weiter s\u00fcdlich bleiben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beschrieben wird, dass das Abtauchen des Minkwals mit einer hohen, schnellen Rollbewegung geschieht \u2013 dieses Bild der schnellen, rollenden Abw\u00e4rtsbewegung beim Abtauchen habe ich noch bestens im Ged\u00e4chtnis. Sie auch, liebe G\u00e4ste?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Auch andere Meeresbewohner gab es heute zu entdecken. Unserer Unechten Karettschildkr\u00f6te (<em>Caretta caretta<\/em>) schenkte wir dieses Mal leider nicht so viel Beachtung, denn alle Augen schweiften umher, um das n\u00e4chste Auftauchen des Wals zu erleben. Der wissenschaftliche Name f\u00fcr die Echte Karettschildkr\u00f6te ist \u00fcbrigens Eretmochelys imbricata, um eine Frage hier noch im Nachhinein zu beantworten ;). Die Portugiesische Galeere (<em>Physalia physalis<\/em>) und der tiefenrelaxte Hund (<em>Canis lupus familiaris<\/em>) \ud83d\ude09 im Hafen erfuhren jedoch ausgiebig unsere Bewunderung.<\/p>\n<p
