Wir trafen auf eine kleine und sehr scheue Schule von Kurzschnabel Gew\u00f6nliche Delfine (<em>Delphinus delphis<\/em>), die \u00fcber einen gro\u00dfen Raum verteilt waren. Die Unterwasserbegenungen waren demnach auch relativ kurz, was aber die Laune an Bord gar nicht tr\u00fcbte. Unsere G\u00e4ste waren fantastisch im Wasser und genossen die Gesellschaft von diesen elegant-schwimmenden Meeress\u00e4ugern.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die Kurzschabel Gew\u00f6nlichen Delfine kann man hier das ganze Jahr \u00fcber auf Madeira bewundern, im Winter und Fr\u00fchling sind die Tiere jedoch in gr\u00f6\u00dferen Gruppen unterwegs. Der Umgangsname kann t\u00e4uschen; die Meeress\u00e4uger sind als Gew\u00f6nliche Delfine bekannt aufgrund ihrer h\u00e4ufigen Erw\u00e4hnung in antike R\u00f6mische und Griechische Kunst und Literatur. Obwohl die Best\u00e4nde im Atlantik relativ gesund sind gilt die Art im Mittelmeer als bedroht aufgrund, der intensiven Fischerei und die resultierende Nahrungsknappheit. Ihr charakteristisches Merkmal, die gelbe Sanduhrzeichung seitlich am K\u00f6rper, erlaubt die schnelle Identifikation der Art vom Boot aus und ist vor allem bei ausgewachsene Tiere deutlich ausgepr\u00e4gt. Sie sind einer der schnellsten Meeress\u00e4uger die hier neben Madeira vorkommen, verlangsamen aber oft ihr Schwimmen um \u00fcber die Bugwellen unserer Boote zu gleiten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diese Tiere wurden auch am Nachmittag auf der Stenella sowie auf der Ribeira Brava gesichtet. Au\u00dferdem hatten wir auch eine kurze Begegnung mit Gelbflossen Thunfisch (<em>Thunnus albacares<\/em>), die zusammen mit einer gro\u00dfen Gruppe von Gelbschnabelsturmtaucher (<em>Calonectris
