Neben der Tatsache, dass wir unser Ziel Meeress\u00e4uger zu finden, erreichten, sahen wir auf der Morgenfahrt auch eine grosse Falsche Karettschildkr\u00f6te an der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che. Das ist ein typisches Verhalten, besonders in den fr\u00fchen Morgenstunden. Dieses Verhalten, oder besser gesagt das Ausbleiben von Verhalten, man k\u00f6nnte sagen eine Apathie, wird \u201ebasking\u201c (sich sonnen) genannt. Auch wenn das Boot sich n\u00e4hert, bleibt die Schildkr\u00f6te ruhend an der Oberflache. Die Falsche Karettschildkr\u00f6te geh\u00f6rt zur Klasse der Reptilien und, wie fast alle bekannten Reptilien, sind sie abh\u00e4ngig von der Aussentemperatur.
