Tiefen, die oft mehrere hundert Meter erreichen, wo die Pottwale vor allem Kopff\u00fcssler jagen. Um diese Tiefen zu erreichen und den gro\u00dfen Druckunterschieden stand zu halten, haben sie sich im Laufe der Evolution angepasst. Eine der Besonderheiten der Meerestieftaucher liegt in der Knochenstruktur. Deren innere Hohlr\u00e4ume sind mit \u00d6lreserven (Lipid) gef\u00fcllt, die die Folgen der drastischen Druckunterschiede vermindern bzw. ihnen vorbeugen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span
