Die Mittelmeer-M\u00f6nschrobben geh\u00f6ren zu den am meisten gef\u00e4hrdeten Meeress\u00e4ugetieren. Wissenschaftler sch\u00e4tzen, dass es nur 500-700 Tieren gibt, welche in drei bis vier Subpopulationen (im Mittelmeer, vor Madeira und im nord\u00f6stlichen Atlantik) leben. Die Hauptgr\u00fcnde f\u00fcr diesen R\u00fcckgang sind die Handelsjagd im R\u00f6mischen Reich und im Mittelalter, die Reduzierung vonseiten der Fischer (die Robben verursachten Sch\u00e4den an den Fischernetzen), die Meeresverschmutzung und das Eindringen und die Zerst\u00f6rung ihres urspr\u00fcnglichen Strandlebensraums. Viele M\u00f6nchsrobben haben ihren urspr\u00fcnglichen Lebensraumraum gewchselt und suchen stattdessen H\u00f6hlen mit Unterwassereintr\u00e4gen auf, die f\u00fcr Menschen nicht leicht zug\u00e4nglich sind.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7828101485113176604gmail-m_6420498933388674299gmail-m-9065427224490740666gmail-msonospacing\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mein Kollege Daniel ein M\u00f6nchsrobbe vor dem \u00f6stlichen Teil von Madeira gesehen. Eine seltene Sichtung. Es gibt eine kleine Kolonie von etwa 30 Tiere vor den Desertas Inseln (s\u00fcdlich von Madeira). Diese Tiere werden st\u00e4ndig \u00fcberwacht und ihr Lebensraum gesch\u00fctzt, um Anstrengungen zu unternehmen, die M\u00f6nschrobben zu sch\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7828101485113176604gmail-m_6420498933388674299gmail-m-9065427224490740666gmail-msonospacing\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ein aktueller wissenschaftlicher Artikel (1) beschreibt wie Umweltschutzma\u00dfnahme in Griechenland zu einer\u00a0 kleinen Zunahme der M\u00f6nschrobben-Population f\u00fchrte.
