M\u00e4rz fanden wir w\u00e4hrend einer Stenella-Ausfahrt einen kleinen silbernen Fisch der tot an der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che trieb. Ungew\u00f6hnlich in Form und Aussehen, nahmen wir ihn zwecks Bestimmung mit zur\u00fcck an Land. Nun haben wir unsere &#8222;Hausaufgaben&#8220; vom <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lobosonda.com\/de\/24-03-2016-hausaufgaben\/\">24.03.2016 Blog<\/a> erledigt und denken, dass es sich bei dem Fund um eine Fischart aus der <strong>Familie<\/strong> der <strong>Tiefsee-Beilfische (Sternoptychidae<\/strong>) handelt. Bisher sind rund 70 Arten von Beilfischen entdeckt, die in den Tiefen der tropischen, subtropischen und gem\u00e4\u00dfigten Breiten von Atlantik, Pazifik und Indischem Ozean leben. Es sind echte Knochenfische (Teleostei), aus der <strong>Ordnung der Maulstachler (Stomiiformes<\/strong>). Die Fische haben eine L\u00e4nge von 2-14 Zentimetern, eine plumpe K\u00f6rperform mit deutlich abgesetztem Schwanzstiel und gro\u00dfe, nach oben ausgerichtete Augen. Ihre Schuppen sind silbrig und fein, das Fischmaul ist unterst\u00e4ndig. An der K\u00f6rperunterseite der Tiefsee-Beilfische sitzen Leuchtorgane, mit denen die Tiere blaue Lichtsignale aussenden. Dieses Licht wird erzeugt von Leuchtbakterien und dient der Kommunikation mit Artgenossen und\/oder lockt potentielle Beute an. Wie andere Bewohner dieses lebensfeindlichen Lebensraumes sind auch die Beilfische gut angepasst an hohe Wasserdr\u00fccke, K\u00e4lte, Dunkelheit und an wenig Nahrung. Typischerweise kommen sie in einigen hundert Meter Wassertiefen vor, ihr Lebensraum umfasst die Tiefen von 50 m bis 1500 m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die Weltmeere stellen ca. 90 % des Lebensraumes der Erde dar. Etwa 60 % von ihnen gelten als Tiefsee. Je nach Definition und Auffassung der Forscher beginnt die Tiefsee schon unterhalb von 400 m bzw. 800 m. Die tiefste Stelle der Erde liegt im Marianengraben, \u00f6stlich der Inselgruppe der Marianen (USA) und misst 11.034 m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">von Astrid Haas<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 24.
