Trotzdem konnten wir w\u00e4hrend der Vormittags- und der Tour am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag wundersch\u00f6ne Sichtungen von Atlantischen Fleckendelfinen (<em>Stenella frontalis<\/em>) erleben. Bei der Tour am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag, wenn sich der Staub normalerweise legt, wurde die Sicht tats\u00e4chlich noch schlechter und die Tiere bewegten sich weiter hinaus aufs offene Meer \u2013 was zu langen Suchfahrten mit beiden Booten f\u00fchrte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Leider kehrte unsere <em>Ribeira Brava<\/em> von der Mittagstour ohne Sichtung zur\u00fcck. <em>Steno<\/em> hingegen fand in den windigen Gew\u00e4ssern weit vor der K\u00fcste von Funchal Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) und Kurzflossen-Grindwale (<em>Globicephala macrorhynchus<\/em>). Sie befanden sich weit au\u00dferhalb des Suchbereichs unseres traditionellen Bootes, doch unsere G\u00e4ste wussten den Einsatz zu sch\u00e4tzen \u2013 und einige hatten sogar Freude daran, einmal selbst den Kapit\u00e4n am Steuer zu spielen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Trotz der Beeintr\u00e4chtigung unserer Sicht auf das Meer bringt der Saharastaub viele wichtige N\u00e4hrstoffe in unsere Ozeane. Er reichert das Plankton mit Phosphat, Eisen und Stickstoff an und tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, die Meeresoberfl\u00e4che abzuk\u00fchlen. Das l\u00e4sst uns den Staub heute definitiv daf\u00fcr verzeihen, dass er unsere Suche auf dem Meer nicht gerade einfacher gemacht hat!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em><span
