Den ganzen Tag \u00fcber begleiteten uns T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) in unseren Gew\u00e4ssern. Sie zogen durch unsere Gew\u00e4sser, von der K\u00fcste bei Calheta bis nach Funchal und zur\u00fcck.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler sind die bekanntesten Delfine; sie sind hochintelligent, haben ein komplexes Sozialverhalten und sind an der Oberfl\u00e4che gesellig und verspielt.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Aber wusstest du schon:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">\u00a0Delfine schlafen mit nur einer Gehirnh\u00e4lfte; um im Ozean zu \u00fcberleben, haben sich Delfine an den \u201eunihemisph\u00e4rischen Schlaf\u201c angepasst. Dies erm\u00f6glicht es ihnen, nur eine H\u00e4lfte ihres Gehirns abzuschalten und ein Auge offen zu halten, damit sie nach Raubtieren Ausschau halten und zum Atmen an die Oberfl\u00e4che kommen k\u00f6nnen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Und noch eine interessante F\u00e4higkeit:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Delfine nutzen die Echoortung zur Navigation und Jagd.
