Unser Gast begegnete atlantischen Fleckendelfinen <em> (Stenella frontalis)<\/em>, die sehr aktiv waren und eine ganze Weile neben die Stenella begleiteten. Sp\u00e4ter sahen wir noch eine Gruppe von Pilotwal (Globicephala macrorhynchus), darunter ein Kalb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Langzeitstudien \u00fcber Atlantische Fleckendelfine auf den Bahamas fanden etwas Bemerkenswertes: Sie schwimmen nicht zusammen mit gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmlern <em>(Tursiops truncatus)<\/em> \u2013 einige Delfine der beiden verschiedenen Arten scheinen dauerhafte soziale Bindungen zu bestimmten Individuen einzugehen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Forscher beobachteten \u00fcber viele Jahre hinweg immer wieder dieselben Fleckendelfine und T\u00fcmmler, die sich gegenseitig aufsuchten. Es handelte sich nicht einfach um zwei Gruppen, die vor\u00fcbergehend zusammen schwammen. Einige Paare \u00fcbten regelm\u00e4\u00dfig das \u201ePectoral-Fin-Rubbing\u201c aus \u2013 dabei streicheln sich Delfine sanft mit ihren Brustflossen \u2013 ein Verhalten, das bei Delfinen stark mit Freundschaft, Vertrauen und Bindung verbunden ist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Was dies so ungew\u00f6hnlich macht, ist, dass S\u00e4ugetiere selten diese Art von langfristigem Bindungsverhalten gegen\u00fcber Mitgliedern einer anderen Art zeigen. Es deutet darauf hin, dass diese Delfine individuelle, art\u00fcbergreifende Freundschaften erkennen und \u00fcber einen l\u00e4ngeren Zeitraum aufrechterhalten k\u00f6nnen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p
