Ich beschwere mich allerdings nicht \u2013 abgesehen davon, dass sie wundersch\u00f6ne Delfine und gro\u00dfartige Motive f\u00fcr die Fotografie auf See sind, sorgen sie immer wieder f\u00fcr actionreiche Sichtungen. Diese wendigen Delfine kommen in die Gew\u00e4sser der Region, um zu jagen, und verbringen die Vormittage meist damit, sich an Halbschn\u00e4blern satt zu fressen oder Makrelen hinterherzujagen. Eine Gruppe Gro\u00dfer T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) war ebenfalls auf dem Weg nach Funchal, doch wir hielten diese Sichtung kurz, da im Osten noch weitere Begegnungen mit diesen wichtigen R\u00e4ubern auf sie warten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Unsere Insel begr\u00fc\u00dft zu dieser Jahreszeit auch den ersten Teil unserer Kolonie des Gelbschnabelsturmtauchers (<em>Calonectris borealis<\/em>) \u2013 beeindruckende V\u00f6gel, die eine gro\u00dfe Hilfe dabei sind, Wale und Delfine auf dem offenen Meer zu finden. Die Kolonie kehrt f\u00fcr die Brutzeit in die Region zur\u00fcck, die im Mai beginnt und nach dem Sommer endet. Nachdem sie von ihren Eltern ausgiebig versorgt wurden, sind die Jungv\u00f6gel ab Oktober auf sich allein gestellt. Wenn diese Jungtiere den Winter und ihre ersten Reisen \u00fcber den Ozean \u00fcberstehen, kehren auch sie nach Madeira zur\u00fcck und werden Teil der Brutkolonie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p
