Die Anpassungsf\u00e4higkeit dieser charismatischen Delfine hat ihnen eine weite Verbreitung in den Ozeanen unserer Welt erm\u00f6glicht. Derzeit werden drei Arten anerkannt: der Indopazifische Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops aduncus<\/em>), Tamanends Gro\u00dfer T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops erebennus<\/em>) und der Gemeine Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<em>Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) \u2013 die Art, der wir in den Gew\u00e4ssern unserer Region begegnen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Alle Arten haben sowohl k\u00fcstennahe als auch ozeanische \u00d6kotypen \u2013 Individuen, die eine Vorliebe f\u00fcr bestimmte Lebensr\u00e4ume zeigen, was oft mit morphologischen Unterschieden einhergeht. Hier auf Madeira besteht unsere Population des k\u00fcstennahen \u00d6kotyps aus einer sogenannten \u201eFission-Fusion-Gesellschaft\u201c, die st\u00e4ndigen Ver\u00e4nderungen und h\u00e4ufigem Zuwachs durch ozeanische \u00d6kotypen unterliegt. Dies gew\u00e4hrleistet genetische Vielfalt \u2013 ein grundlegendes Element f\u00fcr eine gesunde Population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Unsere k\u00fcstennahen \u00d6kotypen konnten heute auf allen Touren beobachtet werden, doch die heutigen Sichtungen beinhalteten auch ein ern\u00fcchterndes Beispiel f\u00fcr die Realit\u00e4t der Mensch-Delfin-Interaktionen. Ein gr\u00f6\u00dferer ozeanischer \u00d6kotyp schwamm am hinteren Ende der Gruppe und wies eine gro\u00dfe Wunde an der Schwanzflosse auf \u2013 wahrscheinlich verursacht durch Fischereiger\u00e4t oder einen Bootsmotor. Dank der schnellen Regenerationsf\u00e4higkeit der Haut wird sich das Tier erholen k\u00f6nnen, doch leider werden solche Verletzungen immer h\u00e4ufiger, insbesondere bei interaktiven Arten wie dem Gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmler.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Um sowohl ihre Vielfalt als auch die Integrit\u00e4t unserer marinen \u00d6kosysteme zu bewahren, m\u00fcssen wir es uns zur Priorit\u00e4t machen, diese Tiere zu sch\u00fctzen.
