Bei den Delfinen handelte es sich um Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<i>Tursiops truncatus<\/i>). Diese Delfinart ist hier um Madeira weit verbreitet und f\u00fcr ihre hohe Intelligenz bekannt. In unserem Fall haben sie gelernt, Fische von den Fischerbooten zu stehlen, die Schwarze Degenfische (<i>Aphanopus carbo<\/i>) fangen. Diese Fische werden mit Langleinen in einer Tiefe von 800 bis 1000 Metern gefangen. Das ist eine Tiefe, die die Delfine nicht erreichen k\u00f6nnen, aber sie warten, bis die Fischer die Langleinen einholen, und w\u00e4hrend dieses Vorgangs stehlen sie dann die Fische von den Haken. Auf diese Weise k\u00f6nnen sie bis zu 40 % des Fangs stehlen oder zerst\u00f6ren. Die Fischer wissen das und h\u00f6ren deshalb auf einzuholen, wenn sie Delfine in der N\u00e4he bemerken. Nun ist es ein Kampf darum, wer mehr Geduld hat, die Menschen oder die Delfine. Die Fischer k\u00f6nnen jedoch nicht so lange warten, denn wenn sie zu lange warten, werden die Fische von Haien in der Tiefsee gestohlen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Abgesehen davon begegneten wir auf den Fahrten beider Schiffe einigen Kurzflossen-Grindwalen (<i>Globicephala macrorhynchus<\/i>). Diese gro\u00dfe Delfinart h\u00e4lt sich das ganze Jahr \u00fcber in der N\u00e4he von Madeira auf und ist eine der am h\u00e4ufigsten gesichteten Arten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
