Ich m\u00f6chte Ihnen von der Lebensreise der Unechten Karettschildkr\u00f6te (<i>Caretta caretta<\/i>) erz\u00e4hlen, die wir heute bewundern konnten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Sie werden an einem Strand geboren. Die meisten Nistpl\u00e4tze im Nordatlantik befinden sich an der Westk\u00fcste, an der K\u00fcste des Golfs von Mexiko und der Karibik, obwohl es auch einige Nistpl\u00e4tze auf den Kapverdischen Inseln im \u00f6stlichen Atlantik gibt. Nachdem sie die Anstrengungen des Schl\u00fcpfens \u00fcberstanden haben, treiben die Baby-Schildkr\u00f6ten viele Jahre lang auf den Hauptstr\u00f6mungen \u00fcber den offenen Atlantik und gelangen so hierher nach Madeira. In unseren Gew\u00e4ssern ern\u00e4hren sie sich eine Weile, bevor sie wieder weiterziehen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Wenn sie dann alt genug sind, kehren sie in das Gebiet zur\u00fcck, in dem sie geboren wurden. Dort paaren sie sich, und die Weibchen kehren an Land zur\u00fcck, um ihre Eier zu legen, und der Kreislauf beginnt von vorne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Man sieht, dass sie in ihrem langen Leben gro\u00dfe Entfernungen zur\u00fccklegen und die Strapazen des Ozeans
