Beide sind Tiere, die sich in der Tiefsee ern\u00e4hren. Dort jagen sie nach Tintenfischen, die gro\u00dfen M\u00e4nnchen des Pottwals sogar nach dem gro\u00dfen Riesenkalmar (<i>Architeuthis dux<\/i>). Madeira ist ein idealer Ort f\u00fcr diese tief tauchenden Tiere, da die Tiefsee durch die steile K\u00fcstenlinie sehr nah an der K\u00fcste liegt. Das ist der Grund, warum wir diese sch\u00f6nen Tiere in den Gew\u00e4ssern der Insel beobachten k\u00f6nnen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">W\u00e4hrend Pottwale mit \u00fcber 20 cm L\u00e4nge die gr\u00f6\u00dften Z\u00e4hne im Tierreich haben, sind Schnabelwale mit Ausnahme der kleinen Sto\u00dfz\u00e4hne der M\u00e4nnchen zahnlos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Neben diesen beiden Arten gab es auf der letzten Stenella-Reise auch einige Gro\u00dfe T\u00fcmmler (<i>Tursiops truncatus<\/i>). Sie tauchen nicht so tief, sondern bevorzugen die seichteren Gew\u00e4sser der K\u00fcste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size:
