Andere Inseln, die diese Idee pr\u00e4gten, sind die Insel Santiago im Kapverdischen Archipel und einige Inseln der Azoren. Seine Eindr\u00fccke von diesen Inseln sind in seinem Tagebuch beschrieben.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Generell ist sein Tagebuch ein Muss f\u00fcr jeden Biologen-Fan, aber auch f\u00fcr jeden, der etwas \u00fcber unsere Welt lernen m\u00f6chte. Seine fast f\u00fcnfj\u00e4hrige Reise auf der HMS Beagle, die vom 27. Dezember 1831 bis zum 2. Oktober 1836 dauerte, f\u00fchrte ihn einmal um die Welt, mit Start und Ziel in Plymouth, Gro\u00dfbritannien. Auf dieser Reise durchquerte er alle makaronesischen Archipele und besuchte ausgiebig die K\u00fcste S\u00fcdamerikas, insbesondere Patagonien. Nach S\u00fcdamerika wurden die Galapagos-Inseln, Tahiti, Australien, Neuseeland und S\u00fcdafrika besucht, bevor es zur\u00fcck nach Gro\u00dfbritannien ging. Auf all diesen Stationen sammelte Charles Darwin, der Naturforscher der Besatzung, Daten \u00fcber die Geologie und Biologie der jeweiligen Orte. Au\u00dferdem sammelte er Fossilien, von denen viele sp\u00e4ter von Experten im Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich als neue Arten beschrieben wurden.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Diese Reise trug dazu bei, Darwins Ideen und sein Denken zu formen, half ihm, die Evolution so zu verstehen, wie wir sie heute sehen, und f\u00fchrte dazu, dass er einige Jahre nach der Reise sein ber\u00fchmtestes Buch \u201eOn the Origins of Species\u201c ver\u00f6ffentlichte.
