Heute hatten wir zum Beispiel drei Unechte Karettschildkr\u00f6ten (<i>Caretta caretta<\/i>) auf der zweiten Ribeira Brava-Fahrt. Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten sind im Allgemeinen recht alte Meeresorganismen. Sie schwimmen schon seit der Zeit der Dinosaurier in den Ozeanen und haben mehrere Aussterbeereignisse \u00fcberlebt. In all diesen Millionen von Jahren blieben sie fast unver\u00e4ndert, so dass wir diese uralten Lebewesen zu sch\u00e4tzen wissen, wenn wir sie sehen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Hier auf Madeira gibt es fast immer die Unechte Karettschildkr\u00f6te, aber mit etwas Gl\u00fcck kann man auch andere Schildkr\u00f6ten wie die Gr\u00fcne Meeresschildkr\u00f6te (<i>Chelonia midas<\/i>), die Echte Karettschildkr\u00f6te (<i>Eretmochelys imbricata<\/i>) und die Lederschildkr\u00f6te (<i>Dermochelys coriacea<\/i>) sehen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Neben den Schildkr\u00f6ten sahen wir heute auch einige Delfine, den Gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmler (<i>Tursiops truncatus<\/i>), den Streifendelfin (<i>Stenella coeruleoalba<\/i>) und den Atlantischen Fleckendelfin (<i>Stenella frontalis<\/i>). Der einzige Wal, der kein Delfin war, war der Blainville-Schnabelwal (<i>Mesoplodon densirostris<\/i>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino;
