Ein leichter Nieselregen verz\u00f6gerte unsere Tour um etwa 20 Minuten, aber als wir hinausfuhren, entdeckten die scharfen Augen unseres Sp\u00e4hers bald eine Handvoll Pottwale (<i>Physeter macrocephalus<\/i>), die z\u00fcgig auf Funchal zusteuerten. Unser Kapit\u00e4n Pedro gab sofort Gas, um die Tiere einzuholen, doch schon bald rief unser Sp\u00e4her wieder an, dass wir die Verfolgung aufgeben sollten; die Wale bewegten sich leider zu schnell f\u00fcr unser traditionelles Boot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Nachdem wir unser Gl\u00fcck mit einem weiteren Pottwal weiter westlich versucht hatten, beschlossen wir, unser Gl\u00fcck mit einer Gruppe von Kurzflossen-Grindwalen (<i>Globicephala macrorhynchus<\/i>) zu versuchen. Die Gruppe war weit zerstreut und bewegte sich immer wieder in Richtung K\u00fcste in die grelle Sonne, die w\u00e4hrend der Sichtung endlich f\u00fcr uns herauskam. Grindwale ziehen es vor, sich gegen das Licht zu stellen, zumindest hat unsere Crew dies im Laufe der Jahre beobachtet. Ob das nun mit besserer Sicht zu tun hat oder damit, dass sie es vorziehen, nicht in Richtung K\u00fcste in die Enge getrieben zu werden, wer wei\u00df&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Nach einigen nahen Begegnungen mit ein paar der gr\u00f6\u00dferen, neugierigen Grindwal-Weibchen fuhren wir zur\u00fcck nach Calheta und konnten dieses Mal den Regen entlang der K\u00fcste nicht vermeiden. Unsere G\u00e4ste waren trotzdem \u00fcbergl\u00fccklich \u00fcber der gelugenen Sichtung, und unser Team f\u00fchlte sich ebenso gl\u00fccklich und zufrieden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"
