Heute Vormittag machte sich unser traditionelles Boot auf den Weg, um eine sch\u00f6ne Sichtung von Gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmlern (<i>Tursiops truncatus<\/i>) und Kurzflossen-Grindwalen (<i>Globicephla macrorhynchus<\/i>) zu genie\u00dfen, beides Arten, die eine so enge Beziehung zu den Gew\u00e4ssern des Archipels pflegen, dass Wissenschaftler die Populationen beider Arten als \u00f6kologische Indikatoren f\u00fcr die Gesundheit der Ozeane nutzen wollen. Mitglieder beider Arten wurden beim Herumtollen und bei der Interaktion an der Oberfl\u00e4che beobachtet &#8211; ein perfekter Einblick in die soziale Welt der Delfine f\u00fcr unsere G\u00e4ste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Am Nachmittag gelang unserem traditionellen Boot eine weitere Sichtung von Gro\u00dfen T\u00fcmmlern, w\u00e4hrend unser Spotter eine Sichtung von Kurzschnabelige-Gew\u00f6hnliche-Delfine (<i>Delphinus delphis<\/i>) f\u00fcr beide Boote sicherte. Es ist immer toll diesen sch\u00f6nen Delfinen zu treffen, und schwammen eine Zeit lang ruhig neben uns her. Am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag gelang Stenella eine \u00fcberraschende Sichtung eines Seiwals (<i>Balaenoptera borealis<\/i>), einer Bartenwalart, die uns im Sommer h\u00e4ufig besucht, und sie begegnete auch einer Gruppe ihrer Namensvetterin, den Atlantischen Fleckendelfinen (<i>Stenella frontalis<\/i>), einem kleineren, aber ebenso charismatischen Sommergast. Die Tour endete mit der Sichtung eines Mantarochens (<i>Manta birostris<\/i>) an der Oberfl\u00e4che, der anhand der Form seines K\u00f6rpers und der Spitzen seiner beiden Flossen, die die Oberfl\u00e4che durchbrachen, identifiziert werden konnte. Dieser unerwartete Besucher ist ein ber\u00fcchtigter Planktonfresser und war wahrscheinlich auf der Suche nach Nahrung an der Oberfl\u00e4che &#8211; ein perfekter Abschluss f\u00fcr diesen
