Since Spring marks the transition season between winter and summer, for marine life encounters it can be considered one of the best times to witness the variety of living organisms out in the ocean. As the water temperature starts slowly rising once again, we can observe the thriving of microscopic life if we look carefully. Small organisms that become part of the zooplankton community or millimeter long jellyfish, almost invisible to the naked eye start multiplying very rapidly, providing a kind of “base soup” that will trigger the food chain. We therefore we always wait for each trip with high expectations, because we never know what may be out there….
