Today both vessels embarked on the usual morning tours under particularly harsh conditions. The surface winds over the Atlantic were increasing and the choppy ocean made it hard for both spotter and skipper to locate animals. Our guests on the Stenella were lucky enough to have an encounter with Bottlenose dolphins. Despite our long search and the profound patience on the part of our guests aboard the traditional boat, we were unable to find any animals and returned to Calheta harbor with no sighting. The guests were nonetheless grateful for our efforts, wild animals cannot be a guarantee in the vast and often formidable Atlantic.
