In 1970, the year of the first Earth Day, a movement started to give voice for different environmental issues. The idea was to evolve consciousness how to protect earth in various ways.
Global warming; pollution of air, water and soil; natural resource depletion; waste disposal; loss of biodiversity; deforestation; ocean acidification are only some of the issues our planet has to fight with caused by human race. We have a huge impact on all lively habitats on our planet.
But we are just a piece in a colourful, beautiful mosaic called nature! As a fact we have to understand in order to survive that it is time to give back in manifold ways to heal, to restore and to preserve what is home for numberless incredible amazing creations on planet earth.
In five years Earth Day will have its 50th anniversary! For that reason a very ambitious goal is on the plan: 7.8 billion trees are going to be plant!
And this is only the first of five international major important intents which will have a significant and measurable impact on the Earth to create a healthier and sustainable future for plants, animals, biotopes and humans.
Pause for a moment – breath deeply – realize the importance of fresh and healthy air and do your part in making the idea of Earth day successful!
In Germany the Earth Day movement chooses following topic for Earth day 2016:
“My food is chancing the world! Enjoy conscious, organic, local and suitable.”
