Again today, we saw dolphins. Similar to the past days, we had our current dreamteam, “common dolphins” and “bottlenose dolphins”. Both, in seperate schools, were moving quite close to shore, just in front of Calheta. The commons were in a slow mode and had some claves within the group. Watching common dolphins like this, it is almost difficult to imagine, that they belong to the fastes dolphin species and can speed up to 60 km/h. Some of them were curious and checked us out, others remained in the distance. Also the second species, the “bottlenose dolphins” had calves with them today.
