Today on our morning tour, while we were enjoying a close-up view of some beautiful Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), one of our guests said gratefully, “Thank you for this wonderful encounter.” Of course, the team plays a key role in making such experiences possible, from the booking process to the actual tour. The spotter is, of course, extremely important, as he reports every sighting to us. The captain influences how the contact develops. Ultimately, however, it is the marine mammals who make the final decision as to whether they are willing to interact with us. Today, they definitely were. That’s why the biggest thank you goes to the dolphin.
