Today was another difficult one. Over the last couple of days we had Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and Blainville’s beaked whales (Mesoplodon densirostris) here and there but also quite a few no sightings trips. Today was no different. The first Stenella trip encountered Bottlenose dolphins that were out of reach for the Ribera Brava. During mid-day the animals were a little easier to encounter. However, during late afternoon, no animals were to be found. We had information on Blainville’s beaked whales. For 40 minutes, we were waiting for them, hoping they would surface but no luck. Let’s hope this dry spell finds an end soon.
