In our introductory speech, we often mention that every day and every tour are different in our blue office. And that is indeed the case. But not only that, the different marine mammal species are also very different in their nature. We experienced this in the morning with the powerful, calm Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), compared to the lively Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) or the shy Blainville’s beaked whales (Mesoplodon densirostris). In addition to the typical characteristics of the individual species, there is of course the current situation, which must be taken into account in order to create a respectful, sustainable approach. All in all, this requires specialist knowledge of the individual species, recognising what is happening, acting accordingly and, of course, a heart for the animals.
And why is the headline Dolphin confetti? Well, because our Atlantic spotted dolphins were in a jumping mood that evening. Real dolphin confetti with the endolphin factor.
