3.03.2015 – FINWHALE

Und wieder gab es Finnwale, die Zweitgrößten Meeressäuger der Ozeane. Dieses Mal waren sie weit von den Gemeinen Delfinen getrennt. Die Delfine hatten einen Hybriden in der Schule, diesen hatten wir schon letztes Jahr beobachten können. Er weisst kein Stundenglasmuster auf, wie das letzte Foto des Blogs zeigt. Wie so oft waren die Delfine mit Fressen von Hornhecht beschäftigt und auf der Rückfahrt zum Hafen sahen wir ganze 5 Falsche Kadettschildkröten. 

And again we could observe the second biggest mammal of the oceans, the fin whale. This time far away from the Common Dolphins. The dolphins had a hybrid within the pod, an animal which we probably already had seen last year on our tours. His colouring doesn’t have these white and grey lateral parts, you may see it on the last photo in the blog. Like often in this time of the year, the dolphins were feeding on garfish and on the way back we had the pleasure to encounter 5 Loggerhead turtles.
