Dealing with nature we are always worth to get surprised. Today the first one was the weather: in Funchal it was raining cats and dogs and arriving in Calheta we had blue sky and sunshine. Second surprise was the change of the ocean from calm to a bit choppy in short time, but our spotter managed to guide us towards a pod of Common dolphins and later on towards a pod of Bottlenose dolphins. Both boats managed to come into the harbor dry before the strong rain began, the third surprise for today. And still more to come because after lunch the sun came out, the sea flattened and both boats, beside the sightings of Common and Bottlenose dolphins, had magic moments with a wide spreader pod of Pilot whales. Surprise surprise, let’s take them like they appear and make the best out of each situation.
