Due to bad weather conditions that hit Madeira Island (strong southern winds, rain and big waves) we were forced to stay grounded for some time. But nothing or no one was expecting the forecast to be as accurate as it was.
The sea proved to be much more vigorous than anticipated and the result was part of the protection harbour wall was destroyed. Thankfully no one was hurt and only material damage was done. Now all efforts are being made to protect the marina, the boats as all the shops and restaurants and cleaning is on the way.
The storm now has passed and hopefully we can return to work next week after some forced vacations… Our wish now is to have great weather, great guests and great sightings.
