We had lot of good trips today. The dolphins were quite calm and interested, and they kept following our boat wherever we went. This gave us all the time to enjoy the animals and observed them closely.
When we observed common dolphins, one of our guests remarked that they reminded him of the emperor penguin. Indeed, the colouration of these species is quite similar! Common dolphins have a bold colouration: black or dark grey backs, a yellow hourglass shape on their sides, and white bellies. This coloration is not so distinct in younger animals, but becomes bolder as they mature. We were happy that the dolphins were so close today, so we could observe their beautiful patterns.
