Morning and afternoon sightings of Common dolphins, both Stenella and Ribeira Brava. The first sighting of this winter species today was at 4 nm offshore in front of Calheta. Later in the afternoon, probably the same group as in the morning, was sighted again at 4 nm, but this time in front of Paul do Mar. After consulting our navigation chart together with our guests, we could establish that the dolphins travelled during this hours always at the bathymetric of 1000 m. Curious factor of the day 😉 And who discovered the baleen whale over the island?
