With the Ribeira Brava back from dry dock and ready for season 2017, the first sighting was a group of Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis). During the yearly maintenance period, this year the main efforts were spent on painting the exterior structures with the typical colours that we have come to recognize on this living museum, so everything is painted until the last detail. Besides checking the engines and the rest of the compartements below deck, the younger maintenance workers, conducted their yearly ceremony of casting out potential “demons” out of the vessel, the so called “Curar o Olhado!”, a ceremony managed so that we may have a smooth season on board, with happy guests and nice sightings.
