A group of around 20 Pilot whales (G. macrorhynchus) stayed for some minutes right beside the “Ribeira Brava”, that was our sighting this morning, after navigating truly a nice swell from the west. During the sighting some adult animals were swimming sideways and in a inverted position and slapping their tails, making it also possible to see the sexual dimorphism, evident in this species, specially in adult animals.
