As soon as we left the harbor this morning we met a school of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). First they showed signs of interest but then moved quickly towards the coast. We followed the animals but when we reached the last dolphins of the group one slaped his tail again and again on the water surface. Generally this is a sign of resentment and in this moment a clear indication that we were a disruptive factor. For that reason our decision was clear and we left these animals. Unfortunately there were no further sightings on this tour.
During our afternoon trip we met, again barely out of the harbor, this time one and only a Bottlenose dolphin. It appeared like he was seeking and he looked almost lost. He approached the boat briefly and then he took to one’s heel.
