We decided to venture out onto the Atlantic Ocean this morning, despite the rather difficult conditions. Calheta was still subject to a strong west-wind making it very difficult for our spotter to locate animals out at sea. Our very nice and patient guests remained on standby this morning until our spotter announced a possible sighting off the coast near Ponta do Sol. The Stenella crew and everyone else on board braved the conditions out on the Atlantic during our search for cetaceans, which unfortunately wasn`t successful. I would, nonetheless, like to express my thanks and awe to the guests on board who showed a lot of interest and helped maintain a superb mood out at sea despite the cold, salty showers.
