Lobosondas Guides like to encourage their guests, asking questions during the trips. Regarding the animals or other interesting subjects related to the marine environment. So todays first question about Dinosaur in Madeira, was then a bit surprising for me. Exotic questions like this keep our brains working. Regarding Dinosaur, the question seems to fit, because just some moments ago, we had seen two seaturtles (Loggerhead sea turle; Caretta caretta). And if you look at these swimming reptiles, with their carapace, its not so extraordinary remembering the Dinosaurs. Next question of the seven year old sister of Magnum was: “who are the closest living relatives of the Whales and Dolphins”? And, would you have known the answer? Yes, most probably, these are the hippos, living in sweetwater rivers. After this short excursion of theory, a school of “Common dolphins” passing close to our boat, catched our attention and brought us back to the here and now.
