Another day at sea, anther day for dolphins. Today’s species included Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba). As a highlight, the day ended with a sighting of a family of sei whales (Balaenoptera borealis). We had some great encounters with the animals on both boats today.
We also had some fishing action on the Ribeira Brava with two straw hats on the loose. It is always important to make sure you leave nothing behind. Even a lost hat is littering. Seeing the animals in their habitat only increases the desire to preserve them. Taking a piece of rubbish found in nature to the next bin can go a long way. By keeping our ecosystems healthy we can save our incredible species one piece of collected litter at the time.
