            14.05.2018 – “All in!”

Published by Marlene Cabral on May 21, 2018

When we start our trips we never know what’s going to happen. During breakfast time some of our guests might have had the hope of a nice tour but what was really waiting for us was pure mega magic! Nor Filipe or I couldn’t remember a time where we had three different species so near by and together. Who plays poker knows the saying “All in!”, which means to put all money into the game. Today was one of those games: hundreds of dolphins, three different species all around us. Brisk Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) immensely beautiful Common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) and elegant Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) enjoyed a fun ride in our bow. One of our guests perfectly expressed: “Are some extra eyes included in the prize of this trip?” Today this little extra was absolutely required to take in all this WONDERful impressions. It was just pure mega magic! Plus with Loggerhead turtles (five during the morning trip and seven during the afternoon tour) nature absolutely said “All in”!

During our second trip the guests were lucky enough to observe a breaching Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) and Atlantic Spotted dolphins. Like I said: “All in!”
