Astrid’s impressions: Today the sea even even here at the southwest coast was a bit more stormy than usual. So our guests were very close to the waves and could feel the atlantic wave energy. Up and down. For the dolphins it seemed to be a big pleasure surfing the waves. We saw today ATLANTIC SPOTTED DOLPHINS and BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS performing this „water-sport“. The bottlenose belonged to the „extra-class“, big animals. It wasn’t, as usual, the resident type of bottlenose, but the „offshore“ form. They came close to the Ribeira Brava, checked us out and went away.
