Today we were lucky enough to see a Bryde’s whale, and even had the (un)pleasant opportunity to smell the (bad) fishy breath! It is kind of unusual for us to have a Baleen whale sighting at this time of the year, but nature is known for playing this kind of tricks, and we are thankful for that. Shortly before this surprise sighting, we encountered a pod of Spotted dolphins, they showed us their acrobatic leaps into the air. For crew, and guests, it was a nice moment being able to enjoy the behaviour of free dolphins in Madeiran waters.
