Besides a sighting of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), a Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) and a boat with nice guests, today we had a real everyday hero on board of Ribeira Brava. From the first moment I was impressed by this knowledgeable Bulgarian boy who knew the scientific names of marine mammals. The fact that in this early age he knows about the problems of the ocean and is very aware of the use of plastic, makes him an everyday hero to me. For example he was saddened about the instance that it is not possible to buy water in glass bottles but only in plastic bottles in our marina. If the young generation is so aware about these problems our beautiful planet earth has a real change. People like Steva are real everyday heroes! We need more like him. Thank you, Steva and go on like this! Before he left the boat, he said: “ This was an amazing trip.” 🙂
